The Gospel Message (short)

Jesus nail

A Jesus Nail is shaped like a "J" for Jesus. It is a nail for His nail pierced hands and feet. It has colors that are symbolic. The first color, gold, stands for royalty. In the beginning Jesus is King of the universe and He created everything. The next color, black, represents spiritual darkness. When God made people they decided to turn away from God's light and willfully sin. In response, because God is loving, forgiving, and just, God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on a cross to shed His red blood to save us from the penalty and power of sin. If we accept this free gift, we are cleansed from all unrighteousness and the Bible says we are made as white as snow. We are not ashamed of Jesus. We want to make a public stand with Him. The first way we do this is through Baptism in the blue water, which represents the death and burial of our old self and the resurrection of a new life in Christ. As we walk each day in the Spirit and focus on Jesus, we grow spiritually, which is represented by the green for growth. This growth is spiritual fruit. First, we develop the fruit of the Spirit in our own Christ-like character. Second, we produce kingdom fruit as we share the good news of Jesus with those who do not know. Finally, when Jesus returns at His second advent, He will take us to Heaven to be with Him forever, where He will reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, which is the final gold color.

There are 7 colors, which reminds us of the 7th-day Sabbath (Saturday). Because we love God, we keep His commandments, including the 4th commandment, wherein we spend one day each week (Saturday) to focus on our relationship with Jesus.
